The Giant Voice
paging interface provides two 600 Ohms balanced audio outputs to feed the siren
audio to external paging/PA equipment and two dry closure outputs to PTT
activate external paging/PA
equipment.
Each audio
output provides up to 15 Volts RMS @ 600 Ohms for highly versatile use and long
line signal
transfer. Each audio output is adjusted independently by a multi-turn
potentiometer for precise levelling
of the signal output, which is especially suited for small signals. The level
for PA announcement and siren
tone is adjusted separately.
The dry closure
outputs are parallel operated and configurable by user friendly jumper setting.
The PTT outputs can be set to include or exclude SI-Test® or PA, whenever this
test is performed or a PA announcement is broadcasted. Furthermore, the PTT
outputs can be set to only provide a dry closure, when
a PA announcement is broadcasted (no siren tone PTT).
The dry closure
contacts are usually open (NO) and rated 6 Amps @ 240 volts for highly versatile
use. The paging interface default setting is to provide a dry closure, whenever
an alert tone is present or when a PA announcement is broadcasted, i.e. as
default the paging interface will not provide a dry closure during silent test.
